These covers are "in the style of" those found on the Guild® HB1 and HB2 humbuckers - and, officially, thats what they're designed for, but, thats a bit of a pigeon hole frankly - they are, really, just normal humbucker covers with those embossed sections around the poles, so theres nothing stopping you fitting them to any humbucker (assuming the poles line up with the holes)

We’ve recently started working with Advanced Plating in the USA, and we’re proud to have a few of their specialist covers on the shelves at Axesrus – and one of their offerings we couldn’t pass up, was their “vintage old stock” finish.
The idea behind this finishes is “it’s a cover that was made decades ago, and has been sat in the stores, untouched and unplayed” – so we’ve got a VERY high quality German Silver cover, perfectly electroplated (without copper!), but its been left to oxidise.

On the face of it, this looks our popular Craggy Mod pickguard, but its actually something a little different. Rather then having a bridge humbuckers paired with a single coil neck, this is actually a plate that takes heavy inspiration from Robbie Robertson and his Last Waltz Strat, and that bridge pickup is actually routed for a pair of single coil!

Closed faced Mini humbuckers are associated with one guitar usually - the Gibson® Firebird! They actually turn up on a few other makes and models, but its the Firebird® we all think of when we see this style of cover/pickup.
The pickups in that guitar, originally, were actually a bit of a departure from what had been before - rather then using a bar magnet and steel poles (either poke screws and slug, ala a "normal HB", Pole Screws and steel bars, ala a "traditional mini HB" or even the modern Firebird offerings, which simply use 2 steel bars!) the real deal Firebird® Mini humbucker used 2 bar magnets, slotted into the housings on the bobbins.
