EZ bobbins are quite a clever little idea actually - there a normal humbucker is built with the "hookup" wires connected directly to the "coil" wire - EZ bobbins take a leaf out of the big book of single coils - and actually have solder terminals built into them.

So, from a winding point of view, its exactly the same as any other humbucker bobbin, but they're very easy to build into humbuckers when your done - simply solder the start and finish of the coils to the terminals, and then connect those terminals to the hookup wires.

There are a few little draw backs though.

First, an probably the biggest one, is that they require specialist bases, which will allow the terminals to stick out the back, and have clips to hold the hookup wire externally.

And the other slight snag, is that they dont take normal humbucker pole bolts (but do take normal humbucker pole slugs) - so rather then fitting the standard M3 (or 5-40 UNC) bolts you'll find on most pickups, you need a specialist M5 (or 10-32 UNC) bolt. - it is though, quite handy, because you're workign with a universal bobbin at that point - so any completed coiil can either be a slug or screw side.
