This is a pickup base with 3 mounting lugs - different from the "Fender®" Version, but used on the Gibson® Sonex in the late 70s/80s and still in use on the Yamaha SA (and the old SG) Series.

Beyond the strange shape - everything that fits to them is standard - its just offset in the guitars body, and as such, required a specialist base plate if you're replacing, or building your own versions.

These are, officially, a "Extended Range, Fan Fret, Slanted Humbucker Base" - which, as well as being a bit of a mouthful, because they turn up on fan frets that aren't extended range, and, presumably, turn up on extended range guitars that aren't fan fret!... but you get the idea.

Essentially, these things turn "normal" humbuckers into slated humbuckers, which turn up on those wonderfully wacky guitars, purely to keep the pickup "where it should be" in relation to the string/its vibration.
