Humbucker bobbins are here, traditional, hot rail, fat rails, soap bars, single coil sized humbuckers, frankly, too many to list here. A vital part of humbucker design, because they directly impact the coil geometry, but also, one of the more fun parts, with a huge range of colours and styles to work with.
-
Humbucker covers are one of my favourite things when it comes to pickups - that finishing touch that takes a lump of plastic and wire from something thats quite plain looking, to something that looks absolutely amazing. We carry a huge range, in various finishes, styles and materials, and whilst they are, at their very heart, a cosmetic part, they also have some interesting tonal implications that are worth considering.

Keeper bars are an astonishingly simple bit of kit - a steel bar, that sits next to the bar magnet in a humbucker, where the pole bolts slot through the holes. Not an overly deep category to be honest, but somewhat niche in that they don't fall into any other. Just remember the golden rule - whilst you've 0.5mm of "play" on all humbucker parts - a keeper bar must EXACTLY match the bobbins spacing.
-
Bar Magnets are the meat and potatoes of humbucker design and modification - more variables than you can shake a stick at, and always having a small, but noticeable impact on the final tone, which we cover in detail within each individual product, complete with sound clips and frequency response graphs. We stock different sizes, shapes, manufacturing methods, grades and materials. You can easily get lost in here. Enjoy it!

Heres where we keep the coil wire, and the hook up wires specific to humbuckers. We only stock Electrisola wire, because, frankly, its correct! It isn't cheap frankly, but we carry it in relatively small reels, so its ideal for small scale builders, 42, 43 and 44 AWG Plain Enamel and Formvar insulation is the order of the day here. Exceptional quality wire, ideal for making historically accurate pickups.

Humbucker bases, whilst not exactly a "tonal consideration" (so they're not all that interesting from a design point of view) - are one of those parts that come in a wide range of materials, sizes and styles again, so they do necessitate their own category. Just remember, the main consideration with them, is to match the pole spacing of the bobbins/covers, and that they give you enough "higher" to adjust the pickup.

Here you'll find height adjustment screws, pole bolts and Slugs, bobbin mounting screws, basically, anything that either acts as a
pole on a humbucker, or is one of the screws or bolts used to construct
or mount the pickup into the guitar.
-
Humbucker rings are pretty straight forward on the face of it, plastic or metal surrounds, which is screwed to the guitar, and the humbucker "hangs" in the middle, allowing for height adjustment. In reality, its a little more complicated, with different heights, sizes and shapes, specific to certain guitars, meaning its a few shades deeper then "what colour do you want?" - thankfully, we've got dimension diagrams for everyone, so its pretty easy to compare against your guitar and get the correct parts.
