7 and 8 string pickup parts are, frankly, a little niche, even in our world - whilst there are more "extended range" instruments out now then ever before, they're not exactly common, and standardisation isn't quite at the level of Fender® and Gibson® in terms of parts. None the less, we carry quite a few parts for making Fan fret and standard humbuckers, as well as soap bar and single coil parts. Just check and double check everything before commiting. Extended range guitars aren't exactly knowning for following a logical path at this point.

The "Bass pickup parts" section of the site has, quite quickly spiraled into something that's a little more "wide spread" then it possiblly should be, so this is one of those where you'll find many categories within one place - but, in short - P bass, J bass, Soap bar bass, mustang bass, 5 string basses, 51 Tele Bass, Bronco bass - we've got them all! Just remember, a lot of the time with Bass, they're repurposing parts we'd class as "guitar" pickup parts, so there's a lot of duplicates within this section.

.This is a huge wide ranging category, which includes all of our pickup kits in one place - humbuckers, single coils, Telecaster, Bass, P90s, Minis, 7 and 8 strings, fan frets... everything! Whilst its a little wide spread, if you know what you need, and you want a simple "one product" solution, without any guess work or prior knowledge - the pickup parts kits are the way to do it. Everything fits together, and its a great place to start winding your own pickups.

Humbucker parts - everything from Bases, Covers, bobbins, poles and magnets, right through to full fits for specific guitars that require propriety parts. Covering everything from the ultra modern, the active, the extended range, and the most authentic vintage of vintage, we are incredibly proud of our humbucker parts, especially the range of colours, size and style options, and level of customisation we offer on all of our parts.

Mini Humbuckers, strictly speaking, refer to the "smaller" humbucker designed by Epiphone® in the 1960s, which pre-date their aquisition by Gibson®, but, nowadays, its a little more of a wide spead term, which is usually used to cover "all humbuckers that are smaller then a normal humbucker" - so we work to that here. Here you'll find single coil sized humbuckers, pickup parts for Firebird® style guitars, parts for Filtertron® and TJ Jones® pickups, Jazz guitar pickups and even miniturised versions of pickups like P90s.

we carry a VERY limited selection of covers and bases for the Teisco "Gold Foil" pickups. Honestly, i know very little about this style of pickup, and as to date, the bobbins and magnets haven't been made available as stand alone parts, so whilst its possible to wind your own, it will likely involve a little more work then something "common" like a humbucker. Nice parts, and from what i've heard, nice pickups, but certainly not for the feint hearted.

The Great Grand Daddy of modern pickups - P90s come in a huge range of styles nowadays, although the uninitiated will be forgiven in thinking otherwise. Dog Ear, Gibson and Epiphone Size Soap bars, Gibson ES330 and Epiphone Casino versions, with variations on cover and base material, spacing, and outside dimensions all making them a very involved branch of the pickup family tree. Electrically, they might all be very similar, but structurally, theres a huge range to play with.

Single coils is somewhat of an over simplification, because this category holds pickup parts for Stratocaster®, Telecaster®, Jazzmaster®, Jaguar®, Mustang® and Burns®, and those are only the fore bearers of the idea, with those designs cropping up hundreds of times on other manufacturers models. Everything from covers, magnets and fibre boards, to full, customisable kits to design your own pickup from the ground up. Very simple pieces of technology, but with a rich history, and almost endless variables which really allow you to make your pickups your own.

Magnets are the meat and potatoes of pickup design and modification - more variables than you can shake a stick at, and always having a small, but noticeable impact on the final tone, which we cover in detail within each individual product, complete with sound clips and frequency response graphs. We stock different sizes, shapes, manufacturing methods, grades and materials. You can easily get lost in here. Enjoy it!

Heres where we keep the coil wire, and the hook up wires specific to humbuckers. We only stock Electrisola wire, because, frankly, its correct! It isn't cheap frankly, but we carry it in relatively small reels, so its ideal for small scale builders, 42, 43 and 44 AWG Plain Enamel and Formvar insulation is the order of the day here. Exceptional quality wire, ideal for making historically accurate pickups.
