Main Description

A slight twist on the classic DPDT On/On switch pot, we've had these made in the Push/Push style.

They really come into their own on guitats with push fit knobs when you don't have enough grip on the tops to use a traditional Push/Pull pot, and often find yourself slipping as you try to engage the switch.

They can be used in exactly the same way as a Push/Pull, for Coil Tapping, kill switching etc.

Supplied with 2 Nuts and Washer.

Grounding

A word to the wise here - when your grounding push pots, NEVER solder to the box which contains the switch mechanism.

Always, where possible, make your connection on the pot casing, or, worst case, the "tab" at the bottom of the switch.

Soldering to the switches case, will damage the mechanism which causes the switch to "latch" into position.

Failure to follow these instructions, will void any warrenty - this is an installation error, not a manufacturing fault.

5 of 5 Work Great! November 24, 2024

I have the 1 Meg Audios. Work well in my Bass VI. I had screw fit knobs, so also bought the brass sleeves from here to make it work.
Like the other reviewer, have broken a push-pull pot before (a different brand but of high quality), so now use screw fit. Have removed push fit knobs slowly and gently using a guitar spanner tool, that works better than just pulling the knob off.

3 of 5 Never got to use it! January 25, 2024

Unfortunately I can't say whether this is a decent pot or not as it broke before I could use it! I was doing a guitar re-wire and test-fitted a Gibson-style bell knob to fit alpha pots (also purchased from Axesrus). Well, the knob fit so tight that by removing it I broke the potentiometer's push/push mechanism...

I would say if you want to buy a pot like this you're likely going to need knobs that are screw-fit, not push fit. Don't be like me and save yourself an expensive mistake (in time if nothing else)...
